Guide
Show retainer clients the work you already did
Retainers feel expensive when the only proof is that nothing broke. The work is real. It is just invisible until you write it down next to the checks.
Put the work on the same page as the monitoring
RetainerProof keeps a work log on the client digest. Each entry has a date, a short title, and optional notes and minutes. Entries in the report period show under “Work this period,” beside uptime, certificate dates, and Lighthouse scores.
You still do the maintenance. The log is what you choose to show: a content edit, a form check, a host follow-up. It is not an automatic list of plugin updates, and it is not a security audit.
Make it look like your studio
- Your brand name and accent color on the digest.
- Optional phone, website, and contact email in the letterhead.
- Starter and Studio keep a small RetainerProof credit in the footer. Agency removes that credit on the digest and on the public status page.
- The client uses the link you send. They do not need an account.
A useful month is a few honest lines plus the uptime bar, not a 20-page PDF. When the next check runs, the same URL shows the new period.
Plans are Starter at $9/month for up to 5 sites, Studio at $29/month for up to 25 sites, and Agency at $79/month for up to 100 sites. Agency removes the RetainerProof credit on the client digest and the public status page. Prices are on the pricing page.
