An uptime report your clients can open without a login
An uptime report for a retainer should answer one question: was the site reachable, and when was it not? The client should be able to open it without creating a login.
What the client sees
- Homepage probes about every 15 minutes between fuller checks.
- A percent for the report period and a day-by-day bar. A short miss stays visible. It is not hidden behind a green badge.
- Fuller checks on the schedule you set: daily, twice a day, weekly, or monthly. Those checks also cover TLS, domain expiry, links you listed, and a Lighthouse snapshot.
- Extra paths or API endpoints, up to 12 per site, shown next to the homepage.
- A Cloudflare or other bot challenge is marked unverifiable. It is not counted as downtime.
Digest link and public status
The branded digest is the report: uptime, certificates, performance, and the work log. It is a secret URL. Do not put that URL in a public sitemap.
The public status page is separate. It shows current uptime for that site only. It does not include the work log, your alert email, or the secret digest URL. Clients can open the status link without an account.
Alerts email you when a monitored check goes red, with optional reminders while it stays red, and again when it recovers. The client report is the page. The alert is for you.
Plans are Starter at $9/month for up to 5 sites, Studio at $29/month for up to 25 sites, and Agency at $79/month for up to 100 sites. Agency removes the RetainerProof credit on the client digest and the public status page. Prices are on the pricing page.
