Website care plan pricing calculator
Price three care tiers from the hours you will actually spend, your rate, a margin, and a floor you will not go under. Then copy the table into the proposal.
The prices below are yours. They are not my product prices. RetainerProof is what you pay for the client page: Starter $9/month, Studio $29/month (the plan marked recommended), Agency $79/month. That bill is per account, not per site. If you want it inside a tier, divide it and type the share into monitoring and reporting.
Care
$135/month
1 hour. Cost before margin $90.
Standard
$270/month
2 hours. Cost before margin $180.
Priority
$540/month
4 hours. Cost before margin $360.
Care at $135 is above the $99 median entry plan in that index. Standard at $270 is above the $224 median mid tier. Priority at $540 is above the $450 median top tier.

Published medians, with the source
On 14 October 2026 Chykalophia published prices from 72 US providers and 187 tiers. I am using their medians, not a number I averaged myself.
| Group | Median |
|---|---|
| Entry tier | $99/month |
| Mid tier | $224/month |
| Top tier | $450/month |
| All 187 tiers | $199/month |
They read public pricing pages, in US dollars, on one day. Firms that only quote on request are missing. A published price is not always the price a client pays. The article says so. I am not turning those medians into a fee you should charge.
When the calculator is in USD, the line under the tiers says whether you are above or below those three medians. Switch currency and I drop the comparison. I will not invent an exchange rate.
Put the copied table into the proposal template, and after they say yes, send the website maintenance contract template. The page the client actually opens is a digest. See a sample care report, then start one for a real site.
Questions
Does the floor replace the margin?
No. I take hours times rate, add the tool line and the other costs, then apply the margin. If that result is under the floor, the price becomes the floor.
Should I charge the median?
No. The median is what those 72 providers published. Your price is your hours, your rate, and what you refuse to go below.
Where does the monitoring cost go?
Type what you pay per site for monitoring and reporting. My plans are $9, $29, and $79 a month for the whole account. Split that yourself if you want it in the tier. I do not invent a per-site tool fee.
Plans are Starter at $9/month for up to 5 sites, Studio at $29/month for up to 25 sites, and Agency at $79/month for up to 100 sites. Studio is the plan marked recommended. Starter, including a trial, keeps a small Powered by RetainerProof link on the client digest and the public status page. Studio and Agency remove that link. Prices are on the pricing page.
